Youth Educator & Advocate

Salary: $41,000-46,000
Responsible To:   Associate Director
Hours:   Full Time Monday-Friday, Some evenings/weekends required, on-call rotation

The Youth Educator and Advocate serves as the resource for education and support for children, pre-teens, teens, and young adults as they navigate friendships, dating relationships, and feeling safe in their homes. They are responsible for creating, nurturing, and growing the understanding of dating violence and the impact of early intervention. The Youth Educator and Advocate should look to develop new ways to expand the Breaking Silence program, in conjunction with the Textline Managers. As an Advocate, they will work with other direct service advocates to provide services and support to teens being served in Outreach and the Emergency Shelter.

Part-Time Dating Violence Textline Manager

Responsible to: Youth Educator and Advocate
Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible except for meetings and collaborative efforts
Pay: $15 /hour

Project Safe’s 24/7, anonymous, statewide textline is a resource for teens and young adults who may be experiencing Teen Dating Violence to seek support. Our Textline Manager position is responsible for promoting the textline & managing the textline by overseeing multiple operators. The position of the Textline Manager is intended to directly support the education & prevention measures of Project Safe’s mission statement; fulfilled by the Youth Educator & Advocate. The Textline Managers will work closely with the Youth Educator & Advocate to bring awareness to healthy & unhealthy relationships and provide a safe space for youth to ask questions about friendships, relationships & dating.

Shelter Advocate: Nights and Weekends

Project Safe is currently recruiting for the position of Night and Weekend Advocate.

Hours:  Part-time, 9:00 pm to 8:00 am evenings (overnight weekday and weekend) and daytime weekend hours, as scheduled

Pay: $16/hr

Responsible To: Associate Director

   -Is interested in growing skills in providing trauma-informed services to those in our community?

Consider joining our team! Night & Weekend Advocates work between 1-4 shifts per week during overnight and/or weekend hours answering the emergency hotline and providing onsite emotional support to survivors of domestic violence living in an emergency shelter. A 20 hrs a week commitment is required. Due to the nature of our work, Covid precautions are in effect.

Community Outreach & High Risk Advocate

Reports to: Community Response & Outreach Services Director
Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: Salary + Benefits
Primary Hours: M-F 9-5, On-call Rotation
Salary range: $43,000.00 – $45,000.00

High-Risk Team Responsibilities: As a High-Risk Team Community & Outreach Advocate at Project Safe, Inc., your primary focus will be on the following responsibilities related to high-risk cases:

Conduct intake assessments to identify survivors of intimate partner violence at high risk for harm or homicide.
Perform comprehensive danger assessments to evaluate the level of risk faced by survivors.
Develop and implement safety plans tailored to the specific needs of high-risk survivors, coordinating services to ensure their protection.
Offer intensive case management to high-risk survivors, closely monitoring their progress and safety.
Facilitate information and referral services for high-risk survivors to connect them with vital resources.
Participate actively in high-risk team meetings, contributing expertise and insights to address complex cases.
Collaborate closely with law enforcement, civil and criminal attorneys, healthcare providers, substance abuse counselors, school and childcare providers, DFCS, and other relevant agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of high-risk survivors.
Enhance relationships with community partners, fostering a coordinated response to high-risk cases.
Document service delivery for high-risk survivors meticulously and provide timely and accurate reports to track their progress.
